Hague, New York is a scenic town located on Lake George and the Heritage Trail in the northeastern part of New York. It is nestled in the Adirondack Mountains surrounded by small hamlets that all give the surrounding area a small town feel. Hague is also just a short drive from many fun attractions for adults and kids. 

The biggest attraction in and around Hague is Lake George. At the Dockside Landing Marina, visitors can rent boats for hourly, daily or weekly rates. Water vehicles available for recreation on the lake include fishing boats, ski boats and wave runners. You can also get all of your boating supplies for your trip on the lake. 

Visitors that are interested in local history will not want to visit Hague without stopping by the Clifton F. West Historical Museum. The museum is located in the town community center and is curated by the town historian and the Hague Historical Society. The museum contains a large display of local artifacts ranging from the 1700's to present day. Fort Ticonderoga is also just a short drive away. Here you will be able to see the fort that was built in 1758. Costumed interpreters will tell the story of this attraction. You can also see reenactments of historical events. 

If you do not want to pilot your own boat, you can choose to take a cruise on one of the Lake George Steamboat Company's three cruise ships. The company provides cruises on one of three boats, including an authentic paddle wheeler. Cruise times range from an hour to a full tour of the historic spots on Lake George.

Hague and nearby towns also have many family-friendly attractions. The Magic Forest is one family-friendly attraction located a mile south of Lake George. Here you will be able to see Santa's Hideaway and the Fairy Tale area. Children will also enjoy visiting The Great Escape Theme and Water Park. Open all summer long, this amusement park is just what you would expect for rides, entertainment and food. It is the largest amusement park in New York and a fun attraction for locals and tourists. 

Shopping is also a popular attraction in Hague. The town has some antique and gift shops that reflect the local culture. There are many of these shops in the area, and bigger shops in the nearby Glens Falls area. 

Nature lovers may want to explore Hague and the nearby Adirondack area by spending some time hiking. There are a number trails to take, including shorter trails with smaller elevation changes for beginners. You can also take a drive up to the summit of Mount Defiance. Here you will see Mount Independence, the Green Mountains of Vermont and Lake Champlain all from the observation deck.
