Herricks Cove: An Important
Bird Area in Rockingham, VT
As birds migrate north to nesting grounds in the spring, Herricks Cover
is an important stop-over point where waterfowl can rest and replenish.
Over 300 hundred species of birds have been identified. The Cover has
been designated an "Important Bird area" in Spring 2000. It
is open to the public. Bonus: Photo journal of the erection of an osprey
