Tool and Calculators
Another
Life span calculator
This calculator appears to be the result of a PERL programmer with
spare time on his / her hands. There is a long list of the statistics
upon which this calculator is based (see references) -- and it does seem
to give a result consistent with other calculators. Go

Calculate
your "Real Age"
The premise behind this website is that lifestyle choices can affect your
age. Good choices mean that your body is being preserved, bad health choices
mean that you are causing your body to age at a faster rate. This tool
goes into a fair amount of detail. It asks for your blood pressure, cholesterol
levels, etc. The more information you can give it, the better it can assess
your health choices. Go

The
Stress Test
I find it quite relaxing and fun to take online tests. They're much more
satisfying than the quizzes in magazines because I don't have to expend
the energy analyzing my own responses. The magic of the Internet. If just
taking the Stress Test doesn't help you unwind, your response page has
links to resources to help you develop stress management tools. Go

most of your time at a desk. Take this interactive quiz to see how you
stack up. Go

Fun Health Facts & Articles
Swallowing
Gum: Does it really 'stick' with you for seven years?
Frankly, considering the amount of gum stuck to the bottoms of chairs
in libraries, movie theatres and food courts around the U.S., I wish that
this article had suggested that gum swallowing had health benefits! In
reality, the concensus seemed to be that it causes no harm, but that it's
better to use the trash can. Read more. Go

Hail
to the Chief! or Commander in Beef?
A fun and wacky page that reports the BMI (Body Mass Index) of all the
past Presidents of the United States of America. Lincoln was a physical
light-weight with a BMI rating of 22. At the extreme ends of the scales
(according to my research): James Madison was the leanest at 17, William
Howard Taft was the most "robust" at 45. Jimmy Carter was the
leanest in the last 75 years! Go

Everyone gets the hiccups. Maybe concentrating on these pages will distract
you enough so that you can get rid of yours (if you have them). You'll

where you'll be able to view shockwave animation of the mechanism which
causes the 'icccc' -ups. Go
